Tafika Camp lies on the scenic banks of the Luangwa River amongst a grove of giant Leadwood trees. It is an authentic bush camp which offers a remote bush experience but still in keeping with modern luxuries. The spacious thatched roof and half-walled reed guest chalets have been constructed using local materials and have en-suite bathrooms and a shaded veranda with wonderful views of the river. The nights in the Luangwa are pure magic - secure beneath cool cotton sheets and a mosquito net, you are lulled into deep sleep by distant lion grunts and hyena whoops fading into the night. The central lodge has a bar and dining area. The cordon blue chef provides stunning food and fresh vegetables provided by the well stocked market garden. Meals include an early morning light buffet of fruit, cereal and yoghurt before departing on your morning game viewing activity. After the morning activity, a buffet lunch is provided with plenty of choice and fresh salads picked from Tafika's abundant garden. A three-course dinner under the night skies in the company of fellow guests and guides and after-dinner drinks around the fire conclude the day. You will be warmly welcomed by the staff and you will have the chance to experience the ultimate bush experience in this remote location. |
