Sausage Tree Camp is located in the heart of the Lower Zambezi National Park, nestled amongst mature mahogany, acacia and sausage trees on the Zambezi River overlooking scenic channels dotted with water lilies and pods of hippo. This exclusive safari camp, specializes in affording our guests the very best game viewing, with traditional safari style. The Bedouin style tents, discreetly positioned along the riverbank are nearly hidden from one another, and shaded by mature Sausage and Mahogany trees, the tents provide cool, private sanctuaries. Local materials are utilized to create a minimalist style in which the reddish brown teak furniture contrast with crisp pure white fabrics and flowing white mosquito nets. Each tent has a private open-air en-suite bathroom, including a loo with a view. The meals are all superb and are prepared by one of the finest chef’s in Zambia. His bush cuisine is unsurpassed. Breakfast is buffet style, consisting of juice, tea, coffee, toast, muffins, cereal and fresh fruit salad. The buffet lunch consists of a hot meat dish, vegetarian dish, two salads and the hot special bread of the day. Just in case that doesn't satisfy, we follow this with a selection of the finest Zambian and South African cheeses, served on a board with crackers, nuts and dried fruits. Dinner can be enjoyed at the hosted table, served under the stars, around the campfire, or in the dining tent, for our three-course fine dining candlelit dinner. Wine, dine and socialise with the other guests and your hosts, who have come to experience and appreciate Africa at its very best. If you would prefer a private and romantic dinner, your own table, bar and camp fire in front of your tent can be arranged. Dining alone perched on the edge of the Zambezi with your very own personal Muchinda attending to your every wish is something not to be missed! Only the very highest international standards in luxury and service are offered and are combined with this truly classic African wildlife experience. |
