Maramboi Tented Camp is a permanent camp that lies in the rolling grasslands between Tarangire and Manyara Lake. It offers stunning views out over Lake Manyara, the National Park, the Great Rift Valley and on as far as the Ngorongoro Highlands.

The camp has 20 luxury tents, each built on a wooden deck and offering both en suite bathrooms and private verandas with lovely views.

Maramboi Safari Camp just 12kms from Tarangire park entrance as well. This permanent Camp covers 25,000 hectares and is surrounded by grasslands and a palm lined desert. It is run by the local Maasai community of Tanzania. These Maasai’s are known for keeping a large number of cattle, sheep, goats which they follow around seasonally looking for greener pasture and water. The size of the herd symbolizes the importance of a person in the Maasai community. When at the camp, you will get to learn more of their fascinating culture.

This camp is tented, with 20 permanent tents all with en suite facilities. The rooms are laid on beautiful wooden decks with 10 tents on either side of the main dining and bar area. The Maramboi safari camp has full board and due to its location neighboring the National Parks it can offer many activities including; guided walking safaris led by the tour guides, game drives, bird watching on the shores of the lake and cultural interaction with the Maasai and the Datoga tribes.

The tents are quite spacious with extraordinarily large double beds; the camp is solar powered of up to 220V of electricity generated 24 hours with en suite bathrooms and private verandas which give splendid views of the lake, the Rift Valley and the Ngorongoro Highlands. This unique landscape gives visitors a truly natural feeling, surrounded by all the fantastic scenery and wildlife.

During heavy rainy season, the Tarangire and Manyara pans get filled up with rain water, attracting large numbers of birds like the flamingos and other wading birds. And during this time, it is among one of the few places where you can watch the annual migration of thousands of wildbeests and other animals.Th

There is a swimming pool located at the end of the main deck area attached to the bar and dinning area. The pool is always warm and of a high standard with children welcome at any time.
