Named after the aromatic flower, Langi Langi Beach Bungalows are situated on the stunningly beautiful island of Zanzibar. The resort is situated on a lovely beach in Nungwi village on the north coast of Zanzibar which is famous for its deep sea fishing, fantastic beach and the local Arabic sailing boats or dhows.
The resort offers lots of activities besides lounging by the pool or swimming in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. There are PADI diving courses, snorkelling and sailing all on offer.
The accommodation itself is built around the bungalows and rooms which all face either the ocean, the pool or the garden. There are 34 rooms in total with 5 are Royal Zanzibari suites, 2 are Marhaba suites, 5 are Seaview suites, 7 are Pool view rooms and 15 Garden view rooms. All the suites enjoy the magnificent view of Indian Ocean and white sandy beaches. They are all furnished in the Zanzibari traditional style with all the usual modern amenities. Comfort and attention to detail, with a choice of king or twin size beds, AC, ceiling fans, hot and cold water, telephone, safety deposit box, fridge, a hair dryer on request, and internet services are all available.
Marhaba Restaurant, the hotel’s restaurant, recently got a fantastic write up in the Guardian newspaper. The restaurant at Langi Langi is considered one of the best on the island offering some of the best Zanzibari food with variety of fresh from the ocean seafood. Whilst dining there you can also enjoy the stunning views of the Indian ocean and dhows sailing past just off shore. (You can also take part in cookery classes with the chef if interested!)
Other facilities include a café/bistro, a tranquil garden, a massage deck overlooking the pool, an internet café, exchange desk and office facilities. There is a fantastic swimming pool and kayaks are available on the beach for rent. Other activities available through the hotel are trips to Stone Town, Spice Tours, Dhow cruises, Fishing trips, Jozani Forest and a safari.
