Kirurumu Tented Lodge is located on the very edge of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The view it offers is stunning, looking eastwards over to Lake Manyara and the valley floor, with Mt. Losimingori rising behind. Behind the lodge lie the Ngorongoro Highlands, a fertile area in which nestles the world famous Ngorongoro Crater, a volcanic caldera and one of nature's most magnificent creations.

The camp offers 22 tented rooms with ensuite bathrooms which are very comfortably furnished. The bar has a large sun deck with superb views down over the valley, offering the perfect place to relax after your game drives with a tea or glass of wine.

Tanzania is one of Africa's premier safari destinations. Its vast plains are inhabited by a variety of wildlife — leopard, giraffe, lion, elephant, hippopotamus, rhinoceros, zebra, and many kinds of antelope.

Other activities include visiting Lake Manyara, a shallow lake which Ernest Hemingway described as the loveliest in Africa, walking through the exotic mahoganies and fig trees near the lake, and birdwatching some of the many native species of birds, such as the grey-headed kingfisher. Many visitors also like to go on a hike to the peak of Mount Losimingori.
