Local knowledge is the key
To get the most out of your holiday local knowledge is crucial. Real Africa prides itself on the local knowledge of its UK staff, both from regular visits to the countries and their years of researching the destinations.

In 2008 we have visited Tanzania, Kenya and South Africa, visiting the properties we use, checking the routes and vehicles and liaising with the local staff. For more details of our staff and where they have been, click here

Our team in all destinations are always monitoring for new properties to use, existing properties to avoid and changes to roads and regulations.

As our tours are private, it means you get to travel in your own vehicle with your own driver-guide. This offers the opportunity to ask questions about all aspects of the country you are in. As these guides are always born and bred there, you can gain a real insight into life there, as well as expert identification of the flora and fauna. It also gives you the freedom to stop whenever you wish to see whatever you want, and your guide is always there to explain what is there.

Most of our guides have worked for many years, meaning they know the people around the National Parks, the rangers in them and the hotel staff you visit. Their local knowledge and friendly enthusiasm to share their country with you their guest, is a highlight of the holiday.
