Explore South Luangwa at it’s most dramatic and beautiful. The bush is in its fullest flush of growth, rivers and lagoons are brimming and boating safaris take you eye to eye with hippos and crocs. Magnificent skyscapes and sunsets, a wealth of migratory birds, crystal clear night skies and occasional dramatic tropical downpours provide the back drop for a safari during the most exciting time to be in the South Luangwa Valley.

Kapani and Kakuli – the only true bush camp open in the green season, provide a unique and unforgettable safari experience for photographers, wildlife and bird enthusiasts, as well as those who are looking for new adventure in Africa.

This is a private tour although game viewing is in a shared vehicle. (minimum 2). It can depart on any day you wish between the 20th January and the 1st April. (subject to availability).

Day 1
Depart UK.

Days 2-5
You are met at the airport and transferred to your first camp. Kapani is an exclusive camp situated on the banks of one of the Luangwa River's many ox-bow lagoons. It is a luxury safari lodge, accommodating just twenty guests and is open throughout the year. This is an ideal place from which to start your Zambian safari experience. Above all else the wildlife game viewing in the area close to this camp is as good as you will find anywhere in Zambia, if not Africa.

Days 6-8
You are transferred to your next camp.Kakuli is a bush camp on the confluence of the Luwi and Luangwa rivers. There are four spacious, traditional safari tents under shady thatched roofs, each with an open-air bathroom. All of the tents overlook the river with stunning views. A lovely thatched chitenje acts as the centre of camp, overlooking the grazing lawn that leads down to the two rivers and is a perfect spot in which to relax and watch the wildlife meander by.

Day 9
Transferred to the airport for your flight home or on to Victoria Falls.
