On this tour you visit Kathamandu, Bhaktapur and Patan City, visiting the main temples, shrines and bazaars. You will also visit the Royal Chitwan National Park and ride an elephant in search of the elusive Bengal Tiger and leopards. You stay in Pokhara with its beautiful lake, dominated by he beautiful Machepuchure - the fish-tail mountain. Your tour ends with an unforgettable flight over Mount Everest.

Day 1 :
On arrival in Kathmandu you are met and transferred to your centrally located hote. There is time to relax before heading off on an afternoon tour of the cities main highlights which include the shrine at Swayambhunath and the historic Durbar Square.

Day 2 :
Today you explore the other two cities of the Kathmandu valley. You start in Patan, a short drive across the river, which is littered with shrines and carvings. It also has a central Durbar square full on historic shrines and the perfect place to appreciate the beauty of the City Of Artists. There is also a chance to visit a Tibetan Refugee Camp where you can see a little of their culture and crafts. In the afternoon you will visit Bhaktapur, the city of Devotees, which has escaped much of the development of Kathmandu and maintained its medieval art & architecture.

Day 3 :
early start to drive to Royal Chitwan National Park. Once the private Tiger hunting estate of the King, it is now an important centre for preserving the Bengal Tigers who thrive here. In the afternoon you enter the reserve and head off on a game-drive on elephant back to see rhinos, tigers, leopards & various other animals who live here. Overnight stay at a jungle lodge.

Day 04 :
A full day to enjoy Chitwa. After a morning of game-viewing, the afternoon is spent on or by the wtaer, canoeing on the irver and visitng a crocadile park to see the two types of indigenous species - the mugger and garial.

Day 5 :
Drive to Pokhara in the Himalayan foothills. This beautiful town lies on the banks of a beautiful lake, with the high Himalayas of Annapurna and Machepuchure (the fishtail mountain) reflected in its waters. Pokhara is also the starting point for trekking in this are (These treks can last for 1 to 22 days, contact us for details of routes and itineraries and we can tailormake a trekking extension to suit you.)

Day 6 :
A free day to explore Pokhara, enjoy a walk by the lake or do on an optional trek in the hills.

Day 7 :
Morning flight back to Kathmandu, continuing to the small town of Nagarkot, famous for its views of the mountains, including Everest. From here (weather dependant) you can enjoy the sunset & sunrise over the Himalayas, a once in a lifetime experience.

Day 8 :
Drive back to Kathmandu in the morning. An afternoon free to visit Bodnath or do some shopping in the bazaars.

Day 9 :
Early morning you leave for the spectacular mountain flight, flying along the Himalayas and seeing all the great peaks - Kanchanjunga, makalu and of course Everest. The afternoon is free befor transferring to the airport for you onward flight home.
