You start with a private two day stay at a safari lodge situated in the world-famous Ngorongoro Reserve of Northern Tanzania. You visit Lake Manyara National Park and have a day in the Ngorongoro Crater, all in your own private 4x4 vehicle with guide. You then fly to Zanzibar to relax for the rest of your holiday.

Situated in the Indian Ocean only 40 kilometres off the coast of Tanzania is the island of Zanzibar, also known as "The Spice Island" due to its export of cloves and a wide variety of the most commonly known spices. Zanzibar has a very colourful and exciting history. Visitors to its shores in the centuries gone by included Sumerians, Assyrians, Egyptians, Indians, Chinese, Persians, Arabs and British, each leaving behind a legacy of their stay. It also offers wonderful beaches, the main draw for the visitors of today.

This is a private tour (minimum 2). It can depart on any day you wish (subject to availability).

Day 1
Depart the UK.

Day 2
Arrive Kilimanjaro Airport. Met by your private 4x4 vehicle and depart for Lake Manyara National Park. Afternoon Game drive. Overnight at Bougainvillea Lodge.

Day 3
A full day in Ngorongoro Crater, with picnic lunch, gives us time to explore in detail this fascinating wildlife amphitheatre. This caldera, formed by an ancient volcano, hosts a unique cross-section of eco-systems, from soda lake to savannah and is home to almost every major species of African mammal. There is a chance here to see the Big 5: lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and buffalo.

Day 4
Return to the airport for your flight to Zanzibar. Here you are met and transferred to your hotel, the Langi Langi Bungalows.

Day 5/12
At leisure. Full details of activities and excursions such as scuba diving and big-game fishing will be forwarded with requested itineraries.

Day 13
Transfer to the airport in time for your flight.

Arrive U.K.
