This is a comprehensive safari for those who really want to spend time in the parks and reserves of Northern Tanzania. You have a private guide and your own 4x4 vehicle throughout. You will spend time game-viewing in all the parks you visit including 4 nights in the Serengeti staying in two different camps. The camps and lodges are of a 4* standard, and staying under canvas, albeit luxuriously, really brings the excitement of being on safari alive .

You start by travelling towards Mount Kilimanjaro and stay at a charming tented camp that offers spectacular views of the mountain, before continuing across the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara. From here your safari takes you to Tanzania’s most famous game areas of the Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire. You will experience a variety of landscapes and terrain as well as a huge diversity of animals and birds. In addition to seeing some of the greatest concentration of wildlife on earth, you will also get to meet and learn about the colourful Maasai and their traditional culture, as well as visiting the site of some of man’s earliest ancestors at Olduvai Gorge.

You travel in a private 4x4 vehicle with your own driver-guide throughout.

This is a private tour (minimum 2 people). It can depart on any day you wish(subject to availability).

Day 1
Depart the UK.

Day 2
Arrive at Kilimanjari Airport. You are met by your private vehicle and guide and drive to West Kilimanjaro and the tented camp at Kambi Ya Tembo.

Day 3
After breakfast drive to Lake Manyara and enjoy a village walk at Mto wa Mbu. Overnight at Kirurumu Tented Camp.

Day 4
A full day to explore Lake Manyara National Park, with morning and evening game drives included.

Day 5
Today you drive to the Serengeti, with game viewing on route. You will be in the Serengeti for four nights, based at two different lodges to ensure you get the most variety of flora, fauna and landscape. Overnight at at Ndutu Lodge.

Day 6
A full day of game-viewing in the Serengeti, with morning and evening game-drives included.

Day 7
Another full day in the Serengeti, this time heading to a different region in the central Serengeti and changing your lodge to the Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp.

Day 8
Your last day in the Serengeti, with morning and evening game drives included.

Day 9
Drive to Ngorongoro, stopping off at Olduvai Gorge en route. Olduvai is the site of the remains of some of modern man's earliest ancestors. Stay at Plantation Lodge.

Days 10-11
Two days in the world famous Ngorongoro Crater, with permits to explore and taking picnic lunches to make the most of your time. Over 25,000 animals live in this extinct volcano, protected from the outside world by its 2,000 ft high crater rim. One afternoon you will have a guided forest walk. Dinner and overnight Plantation Lodge.

Day 12
Drive to Tarangire with an afternoon game drive in the park. Overnight at the Maramboi Tented Lodge.

Day 13
Full day in Tarangire National Park, with morning and evening game drives included.

Day 14
Return to Arusha after breakfast. You will have lunch before heading to the airport in time for your onward flight.

Day 15
Arrive UK.
