A leisurely private safari of the Northern circuit of Tanzania. You stay in comfortable en-suite tented camps, enjoying the sounds of the African night.
 
 

This is a comprehensive safari for those who really want to spend time in the Parks and reserves of Northern Tanzania. You have a private guide and vehicle and spend time in all the parks, including 4 nights in the Serengeti staying in two diverse camps.

You start by travelling towards Mt Kilimanjaro and stay at a charming tented camp that offers spectacular views of the mountain, before continuing across the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara. From here your safari takes you to Tanzania’s most famous game areas of Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire. You will experience a variety of landscapes and terrain as well as the huge diversity of animals and birds. In addition to seeing some of the greatest concentration of wildlife on earth, you will also get to meet and learn about the colorful Maasai and their strong culture, as well as visiting the site of some of man’s earliest ancestors at Olduvai Gorge. You Travel in a private vehicle with your own driver-guide. The camps and lodges are of a 4* standard, and staying under canvas (albeit luxuriously) really brings the excitement of safari alive.

Day 1
Depart the UK.

Day 2
Arrive at Kilimanjari Airport. You are met by your private vehicle and guide and drive to West Kilimanjaro and the tented camp at Kambi Ya Tembo. Dinner and overnight at Kambi Ya Tembo. .

Day 3
After breakfast drive to Lake Manyara and have a Village walk at Mto wa Mbu. Dinner and overnight Kirurumu Tented Camp.

Day 4
A full day to explore Lake Manyara National Park, with morning and evening game drives included.

Day 5
Drive to the Serengeti, with game viewing on route. You will be in the Serengeti for 4 nights, based at two different Lodges to ensure you get the most variety of flora, fauna and landscape. Dinner and overnight Ndutu Lodge.

Day 6
A full day of game-viewing in the Serengeti, with morning and evening game-drives included.

Day 7
Another full day in the Serengeti, this time heading to a different region in the Central Serengeti and changing your lodge to the Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp.

Day 8
Your last day in the Serengeti, with morning and evening game drives included.

Day 9
Drive to Ngorongoro, stopping off at Olduvai Gorge on route. Dinner and overnight Plantation lodge.

Days 10-11
Two days in this world famous attarction, with permits to explore and taking picnic lunches to make the most of your time. One afternoon there will be a guided forest walk. Dinner and overnight Plantation Lodge.

Day 12
Drive to Tarangire with an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight Maramboi Tented Lodge.

Day 13
Full day in Tarangire National Park, withu morning and evening game drives included..

Day 14
Return to Arusha in time for your onward flight.

Day 15
Arrive UK.

This holiday is available throughout the year.

The price per person varies between £3,495 (April) and £4,295 (19th July - 18th August).

This is based on the best priced flights and the accommodation listed. Should these not be available, the price will increase.
