A private safari of Tanzania, visiting the main parks and visiting Kilimanjaro. Private 4x4 vehicle and guide throughout.
This safari begins on the slopes of Kilimanjaro with spectacular views of the snow capped mountain. You will really enjoy driving off the beaten track in search of the myriad of animals that reside there. You then continue your journey to Tanzania’s most famous game areas of the Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire. There you will experience a huge variety of landscapes and terrain as well as discovering the enormous diversity of animals and birds. You will stay in a mix of lodges and camps to get the full experience of safari, and travel with your own driver guide in your own 4x4 vehicle.
Accommodation is a combination of permanent camps and lodges, allowing you to enjoy lovely properties with different styles of safari. All have en suite facilities and are very comfortable.
As with all our Tanzania safaris, it can be extended with a visit to Zanzibar. Please contact us for beach property details and prices.

Day 1
Depart the UK.
Day 2
Arrive into Kilimanjaro Airport and met by your guide and private 4x4 vehicle which transfers you to the Mount Meru Game Lodge.
Day 3
Drive to the slopes of Kilimanjaro arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight Kambi ya Tembo.
Day 4
Morning and afternoon game drives around Kilimanjaro.
Day 5
After breakfast you drive to Tarangire with an afternoon game drive in the park. Stay at Maramboi Tented Lodge.
Day 6
Morning and afternoon game drives with your guide in Tarangire National park. In the dry-season of July-October, Tarangire National Park surpasses the Serengeti in terms of animal concentration as big herds begin to congregate around the permanent waters of the Tarangire River. It is not uncommon to see herds of 50+ elephant as well as every other mammal species including the rare Kudu and Oryx. The park is also noted for its prolific bird life and the occasional sighting of cheetah and the rare African Hunting Dog.
Day 7
Drive to the Serengeti, with game viewing on route. Overnight at the Serengeti Medium Camp.
Day 8
Morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti, one of the most famous and certainly most evocative of all African reserves. Its wide open plains are renowned for their big cats lazing in the shade or if you are lucky hunting some of many grazing animals.
Day 9
Drive to Ngorongoro, with game viewing on route. Overnight at the Ngorongoro Farm House.
Day 10
A full day in Ngorongoro Crater with a picnic lunch, giving you plenty of time to explore in detail this fascinating wildlife amphitheatre. Ngorongoro is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to nearly 25,000 animals. Here you have a very real chance of spotting the big five: lion, elephant, endangered black rhino, buffalo and leopard plus countless other African mammal species. Formed by an extinct volcano, it plays hosts to a unique cross-section of eco-systems, from soda lake to savannah.
Day 11
Drive to Arusha, arriving in time for your onward flight.
Day 12
Arrive UK.
