A journey to the more remote southern part of Tanzania, where the Selous Game Reserve and the Ruaha National Park lie. The Selous is the largest game reserve in the world and boasts some of the finest virgin bush left in Africa, where the last of the really big-tusked elephants and large-maned lions roam. It supports around one million head of game, is larger than Switzerland and is protected as World Heritage site. The Ruaha is one of the best areas to spot the endangered wild dogs in their natural habitat. You visit these two unspoilt areas using air transfers, to avoid the long transfer times by road.

Once the safari is finished you transfer to the beach and a few nights on a beautiful island off the mainland coast.

This safari can depart on any day you wish (subject to availability).
