The Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania is a UNESCO listed World Heritage site. At extinct caldera volcano situated in the Ngorongoro Highlands is now home to over 30,000 large mammels, creating a unique and self-contained eco system.
With no development of the volcano floor, lodge and camps are situated on the rim, offering superb views, or in the pictureque countryside around it. Visitors drive down the sides of the volcano to enter the park in the morning, usually bringing a packed lunch with them, returning to their accommodation at dusk. The game driving is excellent, with a large range of both preditors and game animals as well as a variety of different habitats.
