Day 1 Depart the UK in the evening.
Day 2 On arrival in Windhoek you are met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day free for sightseeing or relaxation..
Windhoek or similar - bed and breakfast basis
Day 3 Starting in Windhoek we proceed down the great escarpment into the vast Namib Desert. Our goal is the Sossusvlei region, an area marked by some of the highest dunes on earth. Our lodge for the next two nights is situated at the foot of towering petrified dunes of the protomorphic Namib Desert.

Day 4 An early morning start provides an artists palette as the colours of the sands change with sunrise at Sossusvlei, a photographers dream. Explore some of the many dunes surrounding Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei. Late morning we visit the 30-metre deep Sesriem Canyon, formed 18 million years ago by the erosive force of the Tsauchab River. The afternoon is at leisure.
Namib Desert Lodge
Day 5 We travel via mountain ranges and scenic canyons to Swakopmund. En route we may be fortunate to come across Springbuck, Oryx, Ostriches and elusive Mountain Zebra. We explore Vogelfederberg, an artistically eroded granite hill, before traveling via Walvis Bay and the Atlantic shore to our accommodation. Later in the afternoon we do a short excursion into the desert to see the Welwitschia mirabilis, the oldest desert plant on earth, before enjoying a sparkling wine sundowner at the eroded valley of the moonlandscape.

Day 6 Swakopmund is an idyllic bohemian town situated along the Atlantic Coast, and promises us both great relaxation and adventure. A wide variety of activities are on offer in and around this quaint seaside town, including amongst others dolphin cruises, scenic flights, quad biking, dune boarding, desert explorations, sky diving and much more.

Day 7 After breakfast we travel inland past the Brandberg, Namibia’s highest mountain (2579m) into Damaraland. This part of Namibia belongs to one of the least populated and most geologically diverse areas in Africa and is home to the rare Desert Elephant and the Black Rhino. Prior to checking into our lodge, we visit the burnt mountain and the organ pipes; these geological phenomena are particularly stunning during the late afternoon.
Twyfelfontein Lodge
Day 8 We start the morning with a visit to Twyfelfontein world heritage site, where bushman communities engraved and painted over 2500 pictures some 6000 years ago. We proceed via the petrified forest to a traditional himba settlement, where we meet these proud and statuesque nature people and learn more about their unique and age-old cultures and traditions. In the afternoon we travel to our lodge, situated close to the world-renowned Etosha National Park, where we stay the next three nights.
Etosha Safari Lodge
Day 9 The following two days are devoted purely to the abundant wildlife found in the Etosha National Park. It surrounds a parched salt desert known as the Etosha Pan and is home to 4 of the Big Five, while the waterholes support a rich diversity of mammals and birds, including rare species such as black-faced Impala, roan and cheetah. With 114 different animal and 340 different bird species, this park potentially represents one of the most diverse game areas the continent has to offer.

Day 10 After breakfast we leave Etosha and travel south towards Windhoek. We will stop at a large wooden craft market at Okahandja, before traveling the short distance to our lodge. The remainder of the day can be spent at leisure at the pool or on a lion feed excursion.

Day 11 After a leisurely breakfast we travel back to Windhoek to in time for your flight home.
