This is a comprehensive private tour of Malawi, travelling in your own vehicle with your own driver-guide. It takes in the countries finest reserves and sights, as well as giving you an insight into its peoples and culture.
As one of the best kept secrets in Africa, Malawi is a country of unbridled beauty, majestic landscapes and stunning wildlife. From its undulating mountains, high plateaus, vast tracks of forests, grasslands and plantations to its expansive lake, Malawi holds its own unique diversity.
Traditionally a relatively forgotten travel destination, Malawi is now emerging in terms of travel and tourism. Remaining largely undiscovered and a hidden gem untouched by mass tourism, it offers a true Garden of Eden feel, a sensation that you are looking back to how explorers saw it centuries ago, see Africa as it used to be.

Day 1
Depart the UK.
Day 2
Arrive into Lilongwe International Airport and drive to the Northern Lake for three days on the shores of Lake Malawi at Ngala Beach Lodge, one of Northern Malawi’s most famous lodges.
Day 3
Spend the day snorkelling, swimming or simply relaxing on the beach.
Day 4
Visit a local Village community, head out on horseback along the beach, scuba dive amongst nearby islands or simply have a
day to take in the scenery and surrounding area.
Day 5
Head north into Vwaza Wildlife Reserve for two days of game drives around the Reserve.
Day 6
Spend the day on game drives around the reserve, tracking elephant and buffalo through the bush.
Day 7
Drive south through the Viphya Mountain Range to Luwawa Forest. Explore the area on mountain bike and foot with various
activities such as orienteering, abseiling, canoeing, sailing and fishing on offer.
Day 8
Head out to a local community village to have lunch with the chief and enjoy dancing and tours of the community’s initiatives
and environmental projects.
Day 9
: Return to Lilongwe, visiting Kumbali Cultural Village, learning how to make various cultural crafts and intergrate with the local
village life.
Day 10
Travel South to Liwonde National park for a two day safari in one of the country’s most prolific game parks. Enjoy a late
afternoon game drive on arrival with sundowner drinks along the banks of the Shire River.
Day 11
Enjoy early morning bush walks and boat safaris on the Shire River and late afternoon 4x4 game drives in the park.
Day 12
Travel to Zomba Forest for two days of hiking, mountain biking and horse riding in the heart of the Zomba Plateau.
Day 13
Spend the day exploring the mountain on foot, bike or horseback and visiting various stunning viewpoints high on the Plateau.
Day 14
Travel south to the Tea Estates of Thyolo, visiting the tea factories and relaxing within one of the most the idyllic surrounds of
the country.
Day 15
Spend the day touring the estate on foot or mountain bike.
Day 16
Return to Lilongwe for your final evening in the Capital City.
Day 17
Depart Lilongwe for your international flight back to the UK.
Day 18
Arrive UK.
