Malawi is a country of unbridled beauty and majestic landscape. It offers undulating mountains, high plateaus, vast tracks of forests, grasslands and plantations as well as its famously expansive lake. It is now emerging in terms of travel but remains largely undiscovered and is a hidden gem untouched by mass tourism. It’s most famous attraction is Lake Malawi National Park with its crystal clear warm waters with sandy beaches set against a stunning backdrop of high mountains. It offers spectacular scuba diving and snorkelling opportunities while on land the park is home to an extraordinary concentration of birdlife. It is the perfect place to relax after a safari in Zambia or Malawi.

Day 1
Depart UK.

Days 2-3
Arrive at Lilongwe International Airport , met by your guide and drive to Ntchisi Forest Reserve, an hour from the capital. It is an untouched paradise, entirely undiscovered by mass tourism. Bird life is prolific due to the variety of habitats. Next day you hike in Malawi’s only natural rainforest and visit hilltop communities.

Days 4-5
Drive to Liwonde for two days of safari on the banks of the Shire River, home to large numbers of elephants, hippos and black rhino. Viewing will be done by vehicle, boat and on foot with an expert guide.

Days 6-7
Drive to the shores of Lake Malawi for two nights on the sandy beaches and clear blue waters of the lake. You can relax on the beach, swim, go snorkelling and cruise along the shores by boat.

Day 8
Return to Lilongwe after lunch on the lake and enjoy an evening at leisure in the city or relaxing at your lodge.

Day 9
Morning at the Kumbali Cultural village before transferring to Lilongwe airport for your flight home or on to Victoria Falls or Mauritius. Contact us for further details.
