Day 1
Depart the UK.

Day 2
Arrive in Nairobi. You will be met on arrival by your guide and private vehicle and begin your safari with a pleasant drive to the Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge overlooking Lake Naivasha, probably Kenya’s most beautiful fresh water lake. Rest of the day free to relax. Option of boat trip on Lake Naivasha.

Day 3
After breakfast drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru, a large alkaline lake on the bed of the Great Rift Valley, has earned its fame as the home of one of the greatest bird spectacles in the world - a myriad of more than one million pink flamingo. These unique birds visit the lake seasonally to feed on the abundant algae which thrive in its warm waters. Lake Nakuru has a great deal to offer besides its magnificent birdlife however; here you will also find lion, leopard, buffalo and rhino. You will watch game in the morning before returning to your lodge by Lake Naivasha for a late lunch. Dinner and overnight at your lodge by Lake Naivasha.

Day 4
After breakfast you will be driven across the floor of the Great Rift Valley, the longest rift in the crust of the earth, to the Masai Mara. You spend three nights in this natural paradise among zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, buffalo, elephant, antelope and gazelle. You will encounter prides of lion resting in the shade of acacia trees or lying low in the tall grass, in wait for their next prey. There is a good chance of spotting cheetah and if you are lucky, the shy leopard. Stay at the Mara Simba Lodge or the Karen Blixen Camp.

Day 5
Your second day in the Mara. A typical day on safari starts with a cup of tea or coffee at sunrise, before you embark on an early morning game drive. This will usually last until mid-morning, when you return for a large breakfast. There is then time to relax until lunch and about mid-afternoon, as the day cools and the animals become more active, you start your second game-drive until sunset. It is then back to camp for your evening meal and the chance to relax with a drink under the stars of the African night.

Day 6
Morning and evening game drives in the reserve on your last day.

Day 7
Leave the lodge after breakfast and head back to Nairobi, arriving in the early afternoon in time for the flight to Mombasa. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel, the Pinewood Beach Resort and Spa.
