Real Africa are delighted to be able to offer a complimentary hot air balloon ride at the Karen Blixen Camp, Masai Mara, Kenya. The offer is available if you stay 3 nights or more at the Karen Blixen Camp between the 4th January to 31st May 2012. The offer has no minimum number of people requirement.
Hot air ballooning is one of the best way to watch the wildlife and is a truly magical, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Heading off at dawn you rise slowly into the African sky and float gently across the savannah. Animals do not worry about the balloons as they are silent so the game viewing is unbeatable. In the early morning as dawn breaks the animals are on the move and truly it is one of the best times of day for game viewing.
The
Karen Blixen Camp is based in the world famous Masai Mara National Park in Kenya. The Karen Blixen Camp is situated in the Northern concession of the Masai Mara. This new area was added to the main reserve a few years ago and now forms a seamless extension of the main reserve, untouched by previous tourists. It is a permanent camp, meaning that the spacious tents are built over mahogany floors and under thatched roofs. They are all beautifully decorated, have large double beds, en suite bathrooms and electricity. Each has a lovely verandah with a day bed that looks out over the Mara River.
The location of the camp is wonderful, with the restaurant, bar and lawns all overlooking a meander in the Mara river. Behind the camp tracks head off into the plains and small hills that offer so many game drive opportunities. It is also close to Leopard Gorge, as well as the territories of several of the lions and cheetahs features on the BBC Big Cat Diary programme.
