Uganda Gorilla permits
An announced increase to the cost of Gorilla and chimpanzee permits in Uganda has been delayed, thanks to the canvassing of the Association of Ugandan Tour Operators. The increase, which meant the price of a permit to trek to the gorillas was to rise from US$500 to US$ 750 on the 1st October 2010 has been deferred until 1st July 2011.
The tour operators argued that they did not receive enough notice of such an increase.
