High Demand for SA 2010

Research from the South African Tourist Board and Visa has shown that there is already a great demand for accommodation for the duration of the World Cup next Spring.

The results, announced in Cape Town by Paul Wilke, Visa’s San Francisco-based senior business leader global corporate relations, showed that 14% of the surveys respondents said they intended to attend the World Cup in South Africa next year. The most interest came from Brazil (46%), China (31%), South Korea (12%), Mexico (11%), Russia (11%) and the USA (9%).

This ties in with our own experiences, with South Africa enquiries for next June - July well up on last year. There is still good flight availability, but as many of the larger hotels are blocked out and demanding long minimum stays, if you do wish to travel then, do contact us soon before our small lodges, hotels and guest-houses become full.
